Pilates-inspired total core in two timed circuits, mat work then standing moves, with light dumbbells and a cool-down.
Day 23 of HR12WEEK 5.0 is a Pilates-inspired core session using light dumbbells. After a warm-up, circuit one works the abs on the mat with loaded dead bugs, side bridges and crunches, then circuit two builds stability standing with lunges, side bends and a balance-and-twist, each at 45 seconds on and 15 off for two rounds. It runs about 38 minutes.

Who Is It For?
Intermediate exercisers with a mat and light dumbbells (about 5 to 10 lb) who want a thorough, structured core workout at home.
Who Is It Not For?
Not ideal if you want cardio or have no weights, or if lower back or neck pain makes crunches and side bridges uncomfortable.
Key Benefits
Strengthens the abs, obliques and deep core and improves stability and balance through mat and standing circuits.
Things to Keep in Mind
Keep the weights light, engage your abs to protect your lower back and avoid pulling on your neck during crunches.
