Editorial notes

YouTube has thousands of workout channels, but only a handful are consistent enough to build a routine around. These are the 15 channels we curate on WorkoutsTube, grouped by what they do best, with notes on level, typical session length and who should pick each one. The workouts below come from these channels.

How we pick channels

Before any video enters our catalog, its channel has to pass the same checks:

  • Clear cues: the instructor explains form and offers easier or harder options.
  • A proper warm-up and cool-down, built into the video or easy to pair with one.
  • A real home setup: little or no equipment and the space of a normal living room.
  • Free and embeddable: every session can be played right here at no cost.

The session lengths we mention come from the videos in our catalog, not from each channel as a whole.

Strength and HIIT

Caroline Girvan

Best for structured dumbbell strength training. Most sessions are intermediate and on the long side, from about 20 to 70 minutes and usually close to 40. Pick it if you own a pair of dumbbells and want steady, no-nonsense progress; if you have never trained before, start somewhere gentler.

Juice & Toya

Best for high-energy HIIT and strength, with a duo that cheers you through every round. Mostly intermediate, with sessions of roughly 30 to 35 minutes. Pick it if you like being coached from start to finish and want cardio and muscle work in the same session.

growingannanas

Best for variety: strength, HIIT and mixed full-body sessions. Mostly intermediate with some advanced options, and a typical length of around 25 minutes. Pick it if you get bored easily and want a real challenge that fits into a lunch break.

Heather Robertson

Best for well-rounded training that mixes strength, HIIT, pilates and stretching. Mostly intermediate, with longer sessions of around 40 minutes. Pick it if you want one channel that can cover most of your week.

Fitness Blender

Best for straightforward strength, HIIT and stretching without distractions. Mostly intermediate, typically 20 to 25 minutes. Pick it if you prefer a calm, no-frills style that puts the exercises ahead of music and hype.

HASfit

Best for classic full-body strength training with some HIIT. Mostly intermediate and around 30 minutes, and the channel also offers chair and senior-friendly sessions. Pick it for simple, repeatable strength workouts, or for a seated option for an older family member.

Pilates, yoga and mobility

Yoga With Adriene

Best for beginner yoga and stretching. Sessions range from about 6 to 70 minutes, most around 15, and nearly all are beginner level. Pick it if you are new to yoga, need a gentle reset after a long day, or want a friendly voice to help you move every day.

Jessica Valant Pilates

Best for gentle, beginner pilates with careful cues. Sessions blend pilates, light strength and stretching and are usually short, around 10 to 15 minutes. Pick it for slow, controlled core work or a short daily routine.

Move With Nicole

Best for calm pilates and yoga flows. Beginner to intermediate, with sessions of around 25 to 30 minutes. Pick it if you enjoy a slower pace and want to build core strength and flexibility together.

Low impact, walking and seniors

Walk at Home

Leslie Sansone's channel is the reference for walk-in-place workouts. Everything is beginner level, sessions run from about 10 to 45 minutes with most around 20, and you need no equipment at all. Pick it for cardio that is gentle on the joints and easy to stick with.

Body Project

Best for low-impact cardio that still raises your heart rate. Beginner-friendly, with sessions of around 30 minutes. Pick it if jumping is not an option, whether because of your joints, your downstairs neighbors or how you feel that day.

SeniorShape Fitness

Made for older adults. Sessions mix gentle yoga, pilates and low-impact cardio, all at beginner level, usually 20 to 25 minutes long and with chair-friendly options. Pick it for yourself or a parent who wants clear, patient instruction at a comfortable pace.

Short sessions, dance and variety

MadFit

Best for short, mostly no-equipment workouts, including fun dance cardio. Beginner to intermediate, from 5 to about 50 minutes with most around 18. Pick it if you want quick sessions that fit a busy day, or a dance workout that never feels like a chore.

Pamela Reif

Best for very short, music-driven sessions: strength, dance, HIIT and pilates. Mostly beginner level in our catalog, from about 6 to 20 minutes and most around 11. Pick it to stack two or three mini workouts or to add a quick finisher. Cues are mostly visual, so learn the moves before you speed up.

POPSUGAR Fitness

Also known as PS Fit, this channel rotates many trainers and styles: strength, walking, dance, pilates and HIIT. Mostly beginner, with sessions of around 15 to 20 minutes. Pick it if you like variety and want to try different instructors before settling on one.

How to build a week with several channels

Mixing channels keeps training fresh and covers everything your body needs. A simple beginner week could look like this:

  • Monday: 20 to 30 minutes of strength with MadFit or HASfit.
  • Tuesday: a 20-minute walk with Walk at Home.
  • Wednesday: 15 minutes of yoga with Yoga With Adriene.
  • Thursday: 30 minutes of low-impact cardio with Body Project.
  • Friday: 15 to 30 minutes of pilates with Jessica Valant or Move With Nicole.
  • Weekend: rest, or an easy walk or stretch.

Once that feels easy, swap one session for a longer one from Caroline Girvan, Heather Robertson or Juice & Toya, or add a short Pamela Reif finisher. Keep at least one easy day between hard sessions and change only one thing at a time.

Frequently asked questions

Which YouTube workout channel is best for beginners?

Yoga With Adriene, Walk at Home, Jessica Valant Pilates and SeniorShape Fitness are the gentlest starting points. For beginner strength, try MadFit or PS Fit.

Are these workouts really free?

Yes. Every video listed here is free to watch on YouTube, and we only include sessions that can be played directly on WorkoutsTube. Some creators also offer paid apps or plans, but you do not need them to use this page.

Do I need equipment?

For most of them, no. Walking, yoga, pilates and many MadFit and Pamela Reif sessions need nothing more than a mat. Caroline Girvan almost always uses dumbbells, and so do some HASfit, Heather Robertson and growingannanas workouts.
